THREE TREASURES A LA CARTE CLASSES
We offer these individual classes independently of our Youth Mentorship Program classes. They are meant for kids who are not in our program but would like to still experience our teaching and classes. Typically, these are faster paced classes because everyone enrolled should want to be there. Each class is roughly one hour which is not a lot of time after the bathroom break and taking attendance.

Each class will have a lesson of the day (or week), then review of last week's lesson, then back to today's lesson. Classes are divided between application and theory training and further divided by age and ability level.

Expectations of students:
1. Students must want to be in the class they're signing up for
2. Students must be able to follow directions and pay attention when needed
3. Show up on time and be ready to train
4.No verbal or physical bullying
5. Continue to do things the Three Treasures way (mindfulness, compassion, and respect)

Expectations of parents:
1. Pay on time
2. Be our ally and not fight us if we tell you your child is misbehaving. Help us find a solution rather than be in denial.
3. You're welcome to watch the class but let your kid be a kid and learn without interference

Expectations of Three Treasures:
1. Teach with the same vigor and enthusiasm as our Youth Mentorship Program
2. Provide a safe and nurturing environment
3. Always communicate clearly and professionally

ABOUT BARNARD A LA CARTE CLASSES:

Hi Barnard famililes, we are happy to offer a few a la carte classes this Fall. With the remodeling and constructing going on, it is difficult to add more classes given our limited amount of space, but we brought back our most popular classes taught by our most popular staff. We have already begun planning for what other classes we can add after this 10 week session is over. The other two sessions this year will both be 11 weeks long.

Wednesdays: 12:15 to 1:15

Class is once again lead by our Director of Athletics, Mr. Shawn. Depending on enrollment and level of skill, we may add a 2nd coach to help Mr. Shawn so we can have a better impact on the kids.

ABOUT HAGE A LA CARTE CLASSES
About the Hip Hop class (Mondays): Taught by our Program Coordinator at Hage, Miss Tamara, this class will be a fun challenge for kids of all experience levels. Students who learn the choregraphy in this class can easily transition to the Hip Hop classes at our community center.

About Chess (Tuesdays): Taught by our Executive Director, Sifu Frank, this class will cover all the basics of Chess from opening game to end game and as much as we can in between. Three Treasures has trained under the guidance of Pacific Hills Chess Academy's founder, Ron Rezendes.

About Video Production (Wednesdays): Taught by our Fitness Director and Social Media expert, Mr. Michaelangelo, this class will give kids a fun look into different video editing tricks. Space is extremely limited for this class.

About Hula (Thursdays): Taught by our Polynesian Hula coordinator and Program Coordinator at our Salk Elementary location, Miss Kat, this class will be a wonderful introduction into the world of hula. Students who excel here can transition easily into our more advanced classes held at our community center.

About Basketball (Fridays): Taught by our Athletic Director, Mr Shawn, this class will cover basic and intermediate skills designed to get our kids ready for play. Our hope is to create a Hage basketball team to compete with teams from our other Youth Mentorship Program sites.
