Chopp It Up: Master Class Set
Three Treasures proudly presents our Master series of Hip Hop classes and workshops. The purpose for these master classes is to provide another opportunity to help support and network the San Diego hip hop dance community and to raise funds for our hip hop department, which aims to teach students the history and culture of hip hop through dance. Our master classes are structured as an event and features local choreographers.
Proceeds will be allocated towards supplies, instructors, and developing future hip hop events (ex. more master classes with local and non-local choreographers, freestyle battles, and adult/youth hip hop competitions, etc.). The master classes are for anyone +14 years old with the capability, motivation, or training mindset to take a master class.

Fijian, Samoan, and Chinese, Moana is a 27 year old mother, dancer, creative director, movement coach, and instructor. She has been dancing for 19 years starting at the age of 8. Starting her dance career in Seattle, Washington, she trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Polynesian.
She was later introduced to Hip Hop in 2006 when she joined her high school's dance team “Universal Motion Dance Company”. During her sophomore year in high school, she later joined "iDK" from 2008-2010. During her senior year she joined "SGBM" (Super Galactic Beat Manipulators), becoming a Captain and later the Artistic/Executive Director in her 9 years with them. She has also danced with ThaMost and Brickhouse Dance Productions and is signed with Bloc LA. She is currently dancing with Culture Shock SD, the Jabbawockeez TRYBE; teaching weekly at Culture Shock Dance Center:SD; entering battles; and traveling the U.S. to teach and perform.
With a background in child development and being a school teacher, her passion is to instill her knowledge into those who are hungry to grow and to help them reach their full potential as a dancer. Her mentors are Kevin Brewer (Jabbawockeez), Vinh Nguyen (Kinjaz), Mikey Mesina (Major League Crew), and Kiko James (220 and iLL Habits). Not only did dance save her life, it is her life and everything in between.

Christian was one of our esteemed judges for Three Treasures' Children's Fair: High School Level Hip Hop Competition. He started dancing in middle school with "iDK" (indecisive Dance Krew). Slowly, but surely, he fell in love with everything dance had to offer.
Christian joined "220" (Second to None) in college and currently directs 220 and 110. He teaches weekly at Culture Shock Dance Studio for all levels and loves teaching just as much as dancing. He strongly believes love, balance, and growth are key to living a purposeful life.
