Today the focus was on the Jing. Jing refers to the external areas of the body like muscles. I had my student and Program Director Cathy join me in doing several circuits of strength training. The areas of focus mainly were upper body and core. We utilized some of the Cross Fit equipment to add additional challenge and variety. My new favorite type of training equipment is the rings that hand down from the ceiling. Naturally, my lower body is quite stronger than my upper and I'm definitely looking forward to continuing to build my upper body strength. To cap off the afternoon, we did a burst of cardio with shadow boxing and 8 straight minutes of jumping rope before having to call it a day. We had to cut the training short so I could test my students David and Stacy for their Level II Qi Gong test.
